Company History

Amanda Roberson

Amanda started her experience back in 2002 when she began working in group homes for children who had been abused and neglected. Amanda has continued her experiences since then working in Elderly assisted Living homes, working as a personal care worker in group homes for individuals with disabilities and eventually began working as part of the administration team opening and licensing group homes for companies as well as part of the crisis and response team for individuals in crisis.

Amanda obtained her bachelor’s degree in social work with a minor in human foundations from UW-Whitewater. Amanda in 2013 began working in the Vocational sector of Human Services and never turned back. After working with a large company as an Employment Coordinator for 3 years, in 2016 Amanda began working as an independent contractor for the State of Wisconsin as an independent Employment Coordinator running her own business. She managed all aspects of working with participants, billing, and receiving. In 2019, the number of participants had grown so significantly that Amanda knew she needed to hire additional help. That is when she opened G.O.A.L.S. to expand and help more people. Amanda has handled all aspects of training, human resources, working with participants, billing, and working to expand and create new programs. Amanda is also currently working towards obtaining a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling to again further knowledge and take the business to the next level.

Teresa Kozak

Teresa had started her career out with running an in-home daycare. She then moved into helping people in a new way and chose to go to school for Certified Nursing Assistant and obtained a job as a Medical Assistant at a large medical complex for a doctor who provided care for premature babies and those with chronic conditions such as cystic fibrosis. From there she moved into clinical research within that same medical complex in the epidemiology department. During this time frame Teresa was attending UW Eau Claire for a bachelor’s in nursing, and upon graduation secured a job within a nursing home and then as a school nurse in a rural school district and oversaw the health and wellbeing of 850 students, with a subset of that population being those with disabilities and chronic medical conditions.

While working as a school nurse and eventually moving to a managed care organization Teresa obtained her master’s degree in Public Health. While working at the managed care organization Teresa carried a caseload that included working with people with physical disabilities, cognitive impairments, and mental health diagnoses before moving into quality innovation, which provided more interactions with different departments, grant writing, and projects for process improvement, efficiencies, and outcomes. Teresa has been with G.O.A.L.S. since the beginning but brought her experience full time in June of 2022. She has experience with community leadership, business management and marketing, and networking.
